Job Summary

Job Description

  • Coordinates and tracks program projects across Region 2 Parish Health Units within the Office of Public Health’s (OPH) Bureau of Clinical and Regional Operations (BRCO).

  • Supports the Deputy Assistant Secretary by managing high-priority initiatives and providing strategic coordination on special projects within Region 2 Parish Health Units.

  • Serves as a strategic project manager for budget-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines in Region 2 Parish Health Units.

  • Facilitates communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.

  • Delivers safety trainings to staff in Baton Rouge, promoting understanding of organizational processes and procedures.

  • Acts as the times administrator for Region 2 BRCO employees.

  • Captures and share institutional knowledge to support continuity and operational consistency within the Office of Public Health/BRCO.

  • Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures, and federal guidelines related to program and budget activities.

  • Monitors and maintains equipment service contracts on equipment such as printers, facsimile machines, renewal and updating maintenance agreements, contacting service providers, and verifying work completion.

  • Assists with travel arrangements, authorizations, and expense accounts.

  • Supports and serves in coordination and management of Emergency Operations during activation and as needed between events.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree plus 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional work experience.

  • Minimum 4 years professional experience performing administrative functions within an office environment or health care field.

  • Minimum 2 years professional experience with project and/or program coordination.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; effective organizational and time management skills.

  • Great attention to detail and follow up.

  • Ability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.

  • Proficient in the use of Zoom, Teams, and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.

DESIRED:

  • Advanced degree.

  • Minimum 5 years professional experience performing administrative functions within an office environment or health care field.

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience with project and/or program coordination.

  • Minimum 2 years professional experience developing and maintaining process and procedure documentation

  • Relevant industry certifications.
