JOB PURPOSE

Law student who will assist 1-3 international students with their initial adjustment to the city and law campus, as these are undergraduate students and usually have not lived in the U.S. before.

MUST have been invited by Law International Affairs staff in order to apply.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employee retrieves exchange student(s) from airport, help with getting student(s) to their housing or dorm room, help with getting essential supplies and services. 
  • Arranges a welcome lunch with other law students.   All costs for the welcome lunch and mileage will be reimbursed.  The student is responsible for providing all receipts and trip information for reimbursement. 
  • Be available for help, if needed, on and off campus.
  •  Employee needs good cross-cultural communication skills, and interest in getting to know the exchange students and being a friendly face throughout the semester. 
  • Student must check in with the exchange students a few times over the semester.
  • Student must be prompt, reliable and have access to a car. 
  • Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College.

SCHEDULE:

  • Estimates of 20 hours for the duration of Fall 2025 - Spring 2026 Semester

RATE OF PAY:

  • $20 per hour

WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT:

  • No Work Study required

    Eligibility to Work

Failure to have a completed I-9 form on file with the College will result in immediate termination of employment.
