JOB DESCRIPTION – SUMMER STUDENT SAFETY GENERAL MAINTENANCE

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Performs routine maintenance tasks for several Facilities Services departments in an efficient and productive manner.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Job Functions

  • Performs safety assistance tasks including but not limited to the following:  fire extinguishers, fire alarms, fire doors, chemical storage, emergency supplies, other inspection assistance, and other safety and environmental compliance related work.
  • Safely operates all hand and power tools necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • Moves, loads, unloads and delivers heavy and bulky materials, supplies, and equipment by hand or dolly.
  • Performs tasks as directed to prepare dormitories and classroom for occupancy.
  • Assists with all tasks needed to ensure timely set-ups and take-downs for campus events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE

  • Part Time

  • 20 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays

RATE OF PAY

  • $16.30 / hour or current OR minimum wage rate

WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT

  • Federal or L&C Work Study preferred

    Eligibility to Work
