Position Summary:

The Convention Operations Attendant is responsible for properly setting up and maintaining all meeting and entertainment venues. 

   Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides superior guest service.

  • Maintains and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.

  • Correctly and efficiently sets up and breaks down all functions related to meetings and Entertainment Center events and off-site events according to the banquet event order.

  • Keeps meeting space and BOH storage areas clean and organized.

  • Maintains familiarity with the various types of workable setups for each function room.

  • Working knowledge of A/V equipment and assists A/V person/guest as needed.

  • Transports and stores tables, chairs, and other equipment.

  • Maintains security of equipment, keys, and supplies issues each day.

  • Corrects and/or reports unsafe conditions or equipment immediately to a supervisor.

  • Maintains constant awareness of safety and accident prevention and ensures that all team members are adequately trained in safety policies and procedures.

  • Assists guests whenever possible, referring all requests that are beyond the scope of responsibility immediately to a supervisor; responds to requests from guests, supervisors, or management in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized as equivalent to a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with an emphasis on having an eye for detail.

  • Must be able to understand and consistently deliver brand standards.

  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.

  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends (Fridays - Sundays), holidays, and overtime as needed.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move around during the entire shift.

  • Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.

  • Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Shift: Swing with Weekends and Holidays, If Scheduled. Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Years' Eve and New Years' Day Are Required Days
