Position Summary:

The Slot Preventative Maintenance Technician performs routine inspections and maintenance to proactively ensure slot machines function smoothly.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes superior guest service.
  • Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on the slot machines each shift. This includes cleaning & vacuuming game cabinets, replacing filters, fans, monitors, as well as bill validator and printer maintenance.
  • Perform basic trouble shooting and repairs, such as fixing jammed ticket printers or replacing minor parts.
  • Replace consumable items (e.g., ticket paper, bulbs, batteries).
  • Report any issues to the tech supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to concentrate on the duties and responsibilities and learn about the parts and how it keeps the game up for play.
  • As the PM Tech completes each bank of games, all records of PM work are noted in a detailed report on their shift work for each night.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all slot machines, keys, radios, and casino property.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognize Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.
  • This position requires walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping each shift and to be able to lift 50 lbs. and use an “in ear” communication device daily.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all slot machines, keys, radios, and casino property.
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
