The Collections Specialist will contact customers to resolve past due balances and work with collection agency.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Make outbound collection calls to past due customers to collect payments and discuss account activity.
· Maintain and notate all appropriate information and documentation on customers account status.
· Work with third party collections agencies.
· Meet bi-weekly and month-end deadlines.
· Work with internal departments to resolve payment or accounting issues.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Minimum of 1 year of collection experience.
· Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
· Excellent customer service and phone skills.
· Strong written communication skills.
· Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to problem-solve and adapt to change.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
· Associate degree or vocational school training preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years of collections experience.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
