Position: Student Worker – Blank School Event Assistant

Overview

The Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership is seeking outgoing and responsible student workers to support various Blank School events throughout the semester. This position offers flexible hours—ranging from 2 to 20 per semester—and provides valuable experience in hospitality, event management, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register Attendees: Assist with attendee check-in using digital or paper registration systems, verify guest information, and provide event materials as needed.
  • Greet Attendees and VIP Guests: Welcome all guests warmly, ensuring VIPs receive special attention and are directed to appropriate areas or contacts.
  • Crowd Control: Monitor event spaces for safety and security, maintain orderly flow of foot traffic, and assist in enforcing event policies.
  • Directional Assistance: Guide guests to registration desks, seating areas, restrooms, and other event locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a student and involved in Blank School programs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods during events
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team

Work Hours

Flexible; 2–20 hours per semester, depending on event schedule and student availability. Most shifts will occur during evenings or weekends when events are held.

Compensation: $15/hour
