Manager, Infrastructure Architecture
Avanade is seeking an Infrastructure Architecture Manager to define and deliver enterprise scale infrastructure solutions across cloud, workplace, networking, security, and operations within Microsoft and multi-vendor environments. This role partners closely with clients and cross functional teams to shape architecture strategy, lead delivery efforts, and ensure scalable, secure solutions aligned with evolving business needs. As a trusted advisor, the Infrastructure Architecture Manager provides strategic guidance on technology investment, governance, and modernization to drive long term value.

What you’ll do
• Define the overall infrastructure architecture approach and lead teams of engineers through the design and delivery of enterprise solutions
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on end‑to‑end IT planning, technology investment, and optimization of existing and emerging platforms
• Partner directly with clients to ensure the successful design, implementation, and adoption of Avanade infrastructure solutions
• Collaborate with cross‑functional technology and design teams to integrate architecture, operations, and solution requirements into cohesive strategies
• Apply deep technical and consulting expertise to advise clients on governance models that ensure stability, security, and scalability
• Enable clients to evolve their infrastructure environments to support changing business needs and long‑term digital transformation
• Monitor, mentor, and lead teams to overcome challenges, drive coordination, and deliver high‑quality outcomes across multiple initiatives

Skills and experiences
• 5+ years of prior related work experience, preferably within a technology or consulting environment
• Strong expertise in enterprise infrastructure solutions, with a particular focus on Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, networking, data center operations, platform migrations, and enterprise directories
• Solid understanding of infrastructure operations, systems security, testing, databases, and mobility considerations
• Proven experience leading complex infrastructure initiatives and technology transformation projects
• Working knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code principles and how DevOps models intersect with infrastructure delivery
• Ability to design and plan complex, multi‑cloud architecture solutions and core infrastructure services
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies
• Advanced proficiency in PowerShell and other scripting languages
• Current, hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft products and ecosystem advancements
• Strong consulting mindset with the ability to understand client processes and challenges, and translate them into effective solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Experience collaborating with global and offshore teams to successfully deliver projects
• Advanced experience with application lifecycle management, agile development methodologies, and software planning
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, influence, and develop high‑performing and virtual teams
• Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive them to successful completion.
