POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job title –Sr. Executive – Finance Analyst

Department – Operations

Reporting Manager – Deputy General Manager – Operations

Division/Location – Rehlko Services Center, Pune, Maharashtra, India

 

Role Overview:

The SAP Finance Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business operations with financial systems. This role is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Finance solutions to ensure efficient and accurate financial processes across the organization. The analyst collaborates closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and cross‑functional teams to optimize business processes, enhance system capabilities, and support strategic decision‑making.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SAP FI/CO modules—such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Functional Budgeting & Forecasting and Cost Center Accounting—combined with solid business acumen and problem‑solving skills. They act as a functional expert, ensuring the SAP system supports both current and evolving financial requirements.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

1. SAP Functional Support

• Provide day‑to‑day SAP FI/CO support for end‑users across the IT organization.

• Troubleshoot issues related to GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, Cost Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.

• Resolve system incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Annual IT budget development (OpEx & CapEx)

• Rolling forecasts (monthly/quarterly)

• Variance tracking and root‑cause analysis

• Spend modeling for projects, infrastructure, and managed services

3. Financial Data Management & Reporting

• Monthly financial statements for IT

• Cost center analysis

• Vendor spend reporting

• Trend analysis (run rate, YoY, MoM)

• Allocation reporting (chargebacks, showback)

• Develop and maintain SAP reports using tools like SAP Fiori, SAP Query, or other BI tools.

4. Vendor Financial Management

• Tracking contract values, renewals, and spend-to-budget

• Evaluating financial health of vendor portfolios

• Modeling cost impacts of renewals, changes, or new deals

• Supporting negotiations with financial benchmarking

5. Compliance & Controls

• Ensure SAP FI/CO processes comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulations.

• Support external and internal audit queries related to SAP.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills

• SAP FI submodules: GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking.

• SAP CO submodules: Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting.

• Understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and reporting cycles.

• Ability to create functional specifications for ABAP developments.

• Knowledge of tax configurations, asset lifecycle, and cost allocations.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, and IT teams.

• Strong sense of ownership and ability to meet deadlines.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.

• MBA Finance / Chartered Accountant (preferred but not required).

Experience

• 4–7 years of hands‑on experience as SAP FI/CO Analyst, Consultant, or similar role.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (preferred).

• Exposure to integration with MM, SD, PP modules.

 

Language/Communication:

Highly proficient in English & able to communicate effectively with Function Head level stakeholders on routine basis

 

Since the role include to support USA, the associate should have the flexibility to work in 2nd shifts that may range from 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm , to cover up to 1pm CT (subject to change).
