Compensation Range:

$32.83 - $42.68

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:

GERNAL PURPOSE
The IOM Technologist specializes in intraoperative monitoring, with occasional responsibilities in diagnostic evoked potentials (EP) studies. This role performs intraoperative monitoring for spine, vascular, and intracranial procedures that do not require advanced neuro monitoring technologists in this position will participate in the IOM call pool.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Setup and breakdown IOM cases, ensuring proper electrode placement and equipment functionality with minimal assistance from other IOM technologists.  

  • Monitor and interpret neurophysiological data during surgeries with physician supervision.

  • Setup and breakdown for moderate and advanced modalities with supervision/assistance.

  • Complete annual CME coursework.

  • Participate in URMC didactic sessions to continue to improve/enhance clinical neurophysiology knowledge/skills.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot monitoring equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree and 1 year of relevant experience required.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Preferred


LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Certification by the American Board of Registration of

  • Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET) in EP and CNIM Required
