Are you a strategic leader with a knack for procurement and supply chain management? We're looking for a Director of Procurement Operations to lead our purchasing, contracts, and supply chain activities. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Capital Planning, Projects, and Facilities, you'll ensure our college's procurement processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the administrative direction this position directs the daily operations of the procurement operations procedures and activities for the College are effective. Responsibilities include the designing, executing, and ensuring the effectiveness of a system of internal controls to guarantees financial information is reliable, compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies. and efficient and managing the Warehouse/Receiving staff and the Inventory Coordinator to maintain optimal inventory levels and streamline operations. Develops, directs and oversees contracts, materials and supply chain activities. Performs complex analytical duties and leadership for the College related to procurement contracts, shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, disposal of surplus property, fixed assets and records retention. Responsible for the preparation for both informal and formal bidding including all construction projects and various supplies and services for the College. Monitors all aspects of contract compliance with legal codes, laws, and District Board of Trustees policies. Reviews, approves, and negotiates requests for change orders and contract amendments. Assists with the creation and/or implementation of policies, procedures, forms, and processes. Provides customer service, input, and recommendations to end users on supply chain matters. Manages key vendor relationships to ensure they serve their intended purpose to reduce expenses, bring efficiency and generate revenue.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as light work involving lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.
