Job Summary: The Family Preservation Supervisor will provide client-centered, culturally competent, and effective services to clients served by the agency. This position utilizes evidence-based practices to provide goal-oriented services and safety assessments to families involved with the Department of Child Services. This position supports the agency’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives. The Family Preservation Supervisor will be primarily responsible for leading, supporting and supervising the team of clinicians and case workers, working directly with children and families in Damar’s Family Preservation program. This position will monitor compliance of evidenced based practices and serve as the liaison between the Family Preservation team, the family and referral source. This position may also provide support to the Community Based Program by developing and implementing policies and procedures to keep the program in good standing with COA, Quality and Compliance, and finance.
• Provides clinical oversight and consultation to therapists for Family Preservation referrals.• Provides support in file review, customer relations, crisis management and support; also includes individual clinical support in addition to group clinical supervision.• Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and serves as the point of contact for referral sources.• Reviews and approves monthly DCS reports.• Consultation and/or complete intake assessments on new Family Preservation Referrals. • Recommends specific EBPs to individualized treatment plans and ensures fidelity to the model. • Reviews and approves all treatment plans.• On-call duties required.• Provides individual and family counseling to Family Preservation cases as needed.• Ensures compliance with service standards and documentation requirements for Family Preservation Program.• Ensures delivery of services in accordance with agency, licensing and accreditation standards.• Understands HIPAA policies and knows how to implement security practices to stay compliant.• Adheres to Social Work Code of Ethics and Damar policy and procedures.• Provides counseling services for clients and families including third party billing and documentation.• Maintains supervision according to the service standards and EBP model.• Experienced with Trauma Informed Care practice.• Seeks the best use of materials, equipment and staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.• Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas.• Completes incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client.• Utilizes data collection in relation to driving and tracking outcomes and achieving agency initiatives and goals.• Acts as a good steward of Damar and/or client finances.• Respects the culture, diversity and rights of all clients, their families and the community.• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Master’s Degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with Licensure required.
Experience:
Equipment Familiarity: Proficiency with MS Office applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Certifications, Licenses or Special Training:
• Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) through the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board is required.• CSAYC not required but a plus.• Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements.• Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification. • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks. • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving). • Successful completion of pre-employment physical required.
