Job Title: Quality and Compliance Coordinator
Department: Quality and Compliance
Reports to: Tyler Gould
Schedule: Night Shift
Compensation: Hourly / Non - Exempt
Job Summary: The Quality and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the compliance, quality, fidelity, and outcomes of service through visual data review with a focus on Damar policy and procedure. The Quality and Compliance Coordinator will work cooperatively with all department staff to ensure licensing and state reporting compliance. The Quality and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for developing and participating in activities that promote communication, monitoring, and documentation of critical incidents.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates visual data via video observation to determine compliance with standards, expectations, and Damar policies and procedures.
- Ensure violation notifications are communicated and documented.
- Ensure heightened observation of staff compliance with the R.E.A.L. principles, unit ratio, and remaining alert.
- Provides safety, security, and surveillance duties via vigilant monitoring and engagement.
- Collects, collates, and reviews information entered into electronic health record regarding client incident documentation.
- Supports program staff to ensure appropriate information is entered regarding client incidents.
- Track ESI's needing completion/send morning ESI report.
- Utilize incident reports to assist, ensure, or complete CPS calls and track CPS notifications.
- Update new information on incident report, CPS, DCS notifications upon discovery.
- Complete drafts and verify accuracy of incident reports.
- Collect documentation (witness statements, CPS call sheets).
- Complete an End of Shift Report and CPS report summary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with clients with developmental disabilities.
Equipment Familiarity: Proficiency with MS Office applications including: Word and Outlook.
Certifications, Licenses or Special Training:
- Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
- Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
- Must have or be able to obtain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification.
- Successful completion of pre-employmen physical.
- Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
