Overview
The Quality Inspection Supervisor will be required to direct hourly employees in all disciplines of Nuclear Quality Control Inspection. This will include both shop and shipboard systems, surveillance and NDT inspections.
- Working with the Learning Management System in order to monitor and maintain inspector training qualifications and NDT proficiency
- Familiarity with nuclear inspection procedures, practices, drawing and methods within structural installation areas
- Ability to interpret specifications and procedures; must understand nuclear training as required by specification and/or department requirements
- Successfully complete Radiation Worker Training or be currently qualified
- Familiarization with department direct and indirect labor budgets is desired by not essential
- Supervise a minimum of 12 hourly employees
- This is a 2nd Shift position but employee must be available to work all shifts, as required.

Qualifications
Required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of the shipyard re-entry process, JCALS, SWSS-ERS, and CPJ
- Present or previous experience in the disciplines of Nuclear Inspection and performance of inspections to the applicable shipyard nuclear procedures and other procedures
- Present or previous qualification in various NDT methods (MT, PT, VT, Fit-ups) is essential
- At least 4 years’ experience in Nuclear Quality Control
Preferred
- Prior supervisory experience
- Experience working New Construction and Overhaul and Repair and as a Radiation Worker
- Certification as a test examiner in LP. MT and visual nondestructive testing is a plus
