Job Description:

The Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business at Mount St. Mary's University invites applications for a full­ time faculty position beginning August 2026:

The position will be filled in one or more of the following areas, based on the needs of the University and the successful candidate's expertise: Accounting, Finance, Management, or Marketing. The position may be filled at the Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level, depending on the candidate’s education, professional experience, and scholarly record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The teaching requirement for this 10-month contract is 21 credits between the Fall and Spring semesters. If hired as a Lecturer, the teaching requirement is 24 credits. All faculty are expected to serve the Mount by participating in school and university-wide committees, advising students majoring in the school's programs, developing course curriculum, participating in assessment, remaining current in their discipline, and performing other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Ph.D. or a Graduate degree combined with industry experience in Marketing, Management, Finance, or Accounting, respectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.

Preferred:

  • Prior university-level teaching experience.
  • Professional or industry experience in the field.
  • Evidence of scholarly engagement and professional development.

Applications will be reviewed beginning Fall 2025 and will continue until filled.

Salary:

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.  Final appointment (Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor) and salary will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and academic rank.
