This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in handling a wide range of IT hardware, from assembling and repairing individual components to configuring and upgrading complex systems. 

As an IT Hardware Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our operations by handling a variety of tasks, including: 

  • Order Processing: Efficiently process purchase and sales orders to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Hardware Maintenance:
    • Disassemble, inspect, test, and repair electronic hardware, including servers, workstations, network equipment, and computers.
    • Securely erase previous customer data from storage devices.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Assemble and configure IT hardware systems based on customer specifications
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit timely reports on order status, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics.
  • Compliance: Adhere to strict quality, safety, environmental, and data security standards such as ESD.
  • Ad-hoc support: Collaborate interdepatmentally to achieve operational goals

Competencies:

  • Experience with hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components, peripherals, and server equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a focus on accuracy. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

Experience: 

  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware components and terminology 

  • 1+ years of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting and repairing IT hardware (specifically Dell, HP, and/or Cisco).

Software Requirements: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) or strong interest in learning more Excel skills  

  • Familiarity with database software (Microsoft Access) is a plus. 

Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to lift up to 20 kg repetitively. The shipment boxes can weigh more than 20kgs.
